Backstage at Glastonbury 2011 & V Festival

Once again, in 2011, Ristretto supplied coffee backstage at Glastonbury where the likes of Glastonbury where the likes of Coldplay, Beyonce, U2 and Morrissey played.

After a torrential downpour welcomed approximately 120,000 spectators, the festival hotted up, though the mud stuck around.

As well as cappuccinos, espressos and the like, Ristretto handmade specially roasted filter coffee for the musicians and crew of the likes of Fleet Foxes, The Kill, The Noisettes, The Vaccines and Mumford and Sons.

What was already one of the most exciting events of the calendar was given an extra edge when a part failure caused the espresso machine to shut down. Luckily for those in need of their caffeine-fix, Ristretto Director, Joseph O’Hara, with his engineering expertise was on the scene and within 4 hours – while the rest of the team made origin aeropress coffees – a replacement part was sourced, couriered and installed.

In August, Ristretto baristas also enjoyed supplying coffee backstage for V-Fest, where Eminiem, Rhianna and Arctic Monkeys were some of the most enjoyable acts. We brewed a choice of single origin coffees on V60 filters and Aeropresses – as well as blended espressos.
