RISTRETTO BACKSTAGE AT GLASTONBURY 2009
Ristretto, the UK’s premiere coffee events company, has just returned back to base after serving coffee backstage to the artists at Glastonbury for the fourth time.
Ristretto once again impressed the stars with their latte art and superb coffee.
“It’s always pleasing and somewhat surprising that even big stars are surprised to get really impressive coffee backstage,” noted Ristretto’s managing director Joseph O’Hara.
“Even some of the very big names have obviously not seen latte art before. I even had the opportunity to give Alex James from Blur a quick demonstration on how to pour latte art.
“People are always surprised that coffee is such a big feature backstage. Glastonbury’s main stages have performances from 11am and some of the big acts have technicians and staff backstage from the early hours of the morning.
“As you can imagine, coffee is essential right up until the last band go on. This year, though, we did reopen the bar for a last minute espresso for Clarence Clemons of the E Street Band.”
